Custom Submersible Chemical Analyzers

Examples of Current Projects

Autonomous, miniature profiling nutrient analyzers for the Ocean Response Coastal Analysis System (ORCAS). ORCAS is a system of ship-deployed and autonomous moored bottom-up profilers for real-time monitoring of multiple biological, physical, chemical, and optical parameters within the ocean, in 3-D space and time. Funding provided by the National Ocean Partnership Program (NOPP).

A SubChem Analyzer for REMUS, an autonomous underwater vehicle developed by ocean engineers at WHOI. The prototype chemical analyzer for REMUS is being developed as a collaborative educational  project involving URI seniors in ocean engineering, SubChem Systems, URI and WHOI ocean engineers, the RI Slater Center for Ocean Technology, and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport Division.
